Mr. Chemek is CEO of Manhelm International, an international real estate investment and consulting firm with offices in the United States, Germany, and co-operating offices in South Africa and Argentina. The company provides consulting and acquisition services for Transnational Clients who wish to invest or do business in the Americas and Europe.
From 1996 to 2000 Mr. Chemek helped to introduce the RE/MAX Residential and Commercial Franchise system to Germany and served as regional director of the north, east and western regions. Mr.Chemek also worked for the Cendant Corporation (owners of the franchise brands, Coldwell Banker, Century 21 and ERA) to promote and develop the ERA commercial and residential Franchise Brands.
Mr. Chemek is a native of Germany. He studied Aeronautical Engineering and worked for Weser Flug GmbH in Germany. Later he earned an International Economics and Business Degree from the University of Maryland. In 1979 he started his own import/export company and his own real estate company in Germany. He opened his first real estate office in North America in Houston in 1984.
Mr. Chemek has traveled extensively to the countries of Asia and the Americas (North and South America), Western and Eastern Europe, and the states of the former Soviet Union.
As a result of his work with real estate investors, teaching and being active in International real estate organizations Mr. Chemek has extensive real estate contacts in Germany and around the World with major residential and
commercial firms as well as investors and real estate banks and funds.

Mr. Chemek holds the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Manager) designation, recognized internationally as one of the most prestigious commercial real estate designations. In addition Mr.Chemek also holds the CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designation and helped develop the CIPS courses in the early 1990’s. Mr. Chemek has lectured at various seminars and Universities in the Americas, Europe and Asia. He has taught the CIPS courses in numerous Cities in the US and International Cities in Argentina, Canada, Czech Republic, England, Hungary, Italy, Korea, Scotland, Spain. He was nominated for NAR Instructor of the year and CIPS instructor of the year in 1994. Mr. Chemek received the CIPS instructor of the year award in 1995. In Nov of 2001 Mr. Chemek received an outstanding achievement award from the CCIM Institute in recognition of his efforts to advance the CCIM designation internationally. In May 2004 Mr. Chemek received the John G. “Jack” Sharpe memorial membership award for outstanding volunteer efforts from FIABCI-USA. Mr. Chemek is also a senior instructor of the CIPS designation courses and the Dean of the CIPS Europe course for 2004-2005.
